VInyasa
Vi ‘in a special way’ nyasa ‘to place’, a vinyasa class is designed to cultivate a moving meditation. Sequences are intelligently crafted and arranged to extract the Rasa (essence) that unites body, breath and spirit.
Classes vary in duration and levels.
Yin , Yin & MFR
Yin consists of longer holds and moments of quietude to observe and develop sensitivity to the present moment. Longer holds encourage a healthy ‘stress’ to connective tissue, to rehydrate fascia.
The added bonus of myofascial release (MFR - self massage with props) helps to loosen up muscle knots , lubricate fascia and to deepen our relaxation response.
Asana Lab
Asana lab are tutorial style videos designed to break down postures. These may be postures that are intermediate - advance level or foundational poses that are sometimes overlooked in a vinyasa class setting.
